Religious Right leaders' portrayal of the hate crimes bill as an attack on religious liberty is false; it reflects a larger political strategy to portray equality advocates as enemies of faith and freedom.
-- Right Wing Watch's report on the continual lies coming out of the mouths of bible-beaters, "Right Sounds False Alarm On Hate Crimes Legislation"

Isn't that the truth? This document over at People for the American Way's Right Wing Watch is a great primer to download and have on hand when you encounter anyone who has been fed the lies being e-blasted out there by the professional anti-gay set.

Hitler's Third Reich (right) was based on Christianity believe it or not. It is no surprise the religious right is out to squelch human rights. Nothing against Christians that actually understand what Christ was talking about. He had allot of great ideals. Unfortunately, organized religion has perversed
his ideals into a bigoted side show act that denies others of their rights

Wait a second. Do they honestly believe that the law is supposed to impede on free speech, or are they just making that up? And if so, what are they trying to achieve?
I just don't get it.

There are a number of groups, not part of the Religious Right, but civil liberties groups, who think the way this law is written could have a chilling effect on free speech.  And I tend to think they are right.
FIGHT APATHY!, or don't...

"Pro-homosexual thought crimes laws are contrary to our heritage and our values."
--Family Research Council

Perhaps it's time to question that heritage and those values.
