The recession is good for fast SRS

Having met a few people who had had SRS only a month after booking and noticed that an SRS surgeon had some unutilized surgery slots, it seems to me that the recession is good for getting SRS quickly. That is, if you still have the money or insurance. I think that there may be a lot of cancellations from people who have lost their job, didn't manage to accumulate the anticipated sum or just thought it would be safer not to spend the money.

It might be a good time to schedule or re-schedule your surgery if you have the money or insurance.

Any thoughts?

I don't know about SRS, but I've read about people getting plastic surgery deals.  Seems recession strikes some doctors too.
FIGHT APATHY!, or don't...

Good time to negotiate a discount if your paying cash. Downside is a good portion of those cancellations are probably financing related.

I found it to be opposite, actually-  My surgeon's prices went up and his wait list is still about the same.

The wait time has dropped, but most of those scheduled are still waiting. In other words, it won't help those already in line.

Bowers wait time dropped about 5 months, from almost 2 years I heard and yes, many have increased their price. Bowers especially, but it was due to the hospital, not her choice.

Hospitals are seeing a drop in patients and are raising rates to compensate and of course for inflation. Probably a little just because they can too.
