It seems ironic that Montreal is home to one of the world's most renowned GRS surgeons, but trans people who go through the public health system here are shipped off to Thailand or a European country for their surgeries. I won't dwell on this, because the Quebec government is planning changes, and announcements about how it will work are coming soon, I am told. But many expect Quebec will kick in some coverage for residents here who have their surgeries in Montreal.
