I loved wearing manicure in summer. I especially like blue manicure:

It was only when I was in the U.S.
Here now at my workplace in my country, no female employee wear manicure in their nails, although some do in their toenails. Sigh...

I remember it is tedious to wear manicure every sunday, but it was one of my joys. I felt that my nails looked so sexy, although admittedly my hands look basically masculine.

Last week, my close female friend at my work place showed off her toenails colored in forest green. She said her son gave it as a gift in Mother's day. They looked cute.

How can I try manicure this summer? Just giving up.... or??

Is that a rule at your workplace, or just something the women don't do.

One way to look at it is you are not a woman and therefore those rules don't apply to you. Wear away.

A compromise might be to just paint them yourself for the weekend and remove it at the end.

Maybe you could get your nails done French style? You might be able to get away with that and they will still look gorgeous.

Hi, Nicky,

Of course, there is no explicit rule on clothes or makeup. Here is a government agency and people think we should be conservative. It is not an issue of right or wrong, but I just want be harmonious with other people. My apparel and long hair alone also caused a lot of fuss here, although now most people become accustomed to me.

I once tried French style, but it required a lot of time and effort. I remember it was 3 steps, base, manicure and coating. I loved blue manicures because it requires just one step and is easy to remove.

Yes. I think it is a good idea to wear blue manicure at Friday night. I will try it soon and will bike outdoors. I may need some bangles.

Thanks,
