So I got pulled today.  Dude was a fed officer, apparently he just wanted to talk to me so: we talked.  Great conversation on politics and guns and motorcycles, and more guns.  Excellent.  I tell him we need to get coffee cuz he seems like a really cool old dude that I could learn a lot from.
So I leave and two seconds later I get pulled by local cops for blowing a stop sign.  Funny because I ALWAYS throw up a thumbs up to cops when they're passing me and I'm on the bike because well: I SUPPORT.  Nuff said.
They are all cool with me till they get my license and it says Anthony.  Then they scowl and glare and get a southern drawl going in their voice, asking me stupid questions and making me do stupid stuff to prove I'm not high on anything and just about dissected my motorcycle looking for drugs that they damned well knew weren't in there.  What kinda moron is gonna stash pot in her exhaust pipes?!!!
So I call up the fed I was just talking to because I knew I needed damage control and someone these dudes would listen to: another cop.  So he gets me out of that crap, says he'll escort me out, and then asks me to jump in his car so we can talk for a bit.

So this is what I have to endure in his car: him educating me all about his crappy family and his crappy wife and then an hour of nonstopping sexual harassment.  I mean what was I supposed to do, curse him out like I wanted to when he could take me to jail?  So I just kept smiling and saying, "maybe another time,"  or, "I'd have to have a few drinks before I would think about taking off my shirt," and crap like that.
I didn't know whether to be nice to the dude that just got me out of being the new jailbait or ask him why he pulled me over, why he didn't have a strong reaction to my transsexualism, why he was so interested in that fact and attracted to it, and why I shouldn't report him with a good case of stalking me given those facts?

So I finally get home and like, I'm totally enraged, irate, etc.  I'm pissed and even more pissed and still yet again pissed.

South Carolina cops suck.  Apparently feds do as well.

I've never known a Fed to pull anyone over 'to chat'

Ignorant question: what's a Fed? Do they have more jurisdiction or something?
We don't got feds here, hence my ignorance (maybe I should watch more American cop shows).

I'm curious how many times he's done this, how many affairs he's had while married, and if he just thought a chick on a motorcycle was hot and he also happened to be into, "->-bleeped-<-s" or if he deliberately tracked me down due to the fact that I was a trans.

Cuz this dude seemed to know know EXACTLY how to take advantage of the situation to assert his control and my lack of it.  This guy had done it before.

I'm also curious if his wife is half as bad as he made her out to be and what kind of sick twisted mind he's got playing the games he just played today.

Oops! And most of the arrest are made by local cops. The arrests leads to prosecuting and sentencing. So in first hand the local cops decide who are the ''criminals''. I would not expect that someone who supports ''as cruel and inhuman punishments as possible'' hate the local cops.

They are like supercops.  They tend to be very highly educated - for example for a long time you couldn't even think about being an FBI agent unless you had a law degree, MBA in accounting, or some great computer skill.  Other ones, differ, DEA and ATF are a bunch of 'shoot first, ask questions later' types, and some like the Secret Service and Federal Marshals are outstanding.

They have no limit to their power within the US.

And, yeah, they are good.  Unlimited resources help.  But the FBI has like a 90% conviction rate on people they arrest.  When they come after you, they already have you.

Was this guy FBI or something? DEA?

I've never been pulled over by a "Fed"

I wonder why or how he knew about you if you think he specifically targeted you.

There is something missing in this story or something. Makes me wonder if there is a master "TS" list somewhere.

And I just had a really bad nightmare and am recovering from a panic attack right now regarding the fed dude.  He looked at my address really closely.

Lovely.

America sounds bloody scary; remind me to never go there  :-\

I think its far more Annwyn than America.  I'm like almost 55 and have never talked (that I knew about) with a Fed outside of business, (and my uncle, who was an FBI agent) when I was working on some event with a presidential candidate or ex-president, and that was never some big deal, more a tour of the building.

I could be wrong, but I was under the impression that you're not MTF (or FTM)?
If so, you're not going to encounter the same...issues as Annwyn, yeah?

There is a line in the american constitution, at least I think it is (correct me if I am wrong), it goes something like you have the right to bear arms.

That always confused me. Does this mean you have a whole lot of handicap bears in the States, you are allowed to graft bear arms onto your body or you can walk around with short sleaves. Or is it that bears arms are such good eating that everyone wants a piece  ???

I think American cops make good tv - "bad boys bad boys, watcha gonna doo.....". In New Zealand they have pretty strict protocols to follow regarding chases - many are just dropped.
  •

tekla

It's widely misread, it's really the right to keep and arm bears, so watch out for Yogi and Boo-Boo.

We have counties in California larger in land area than NZ, others with like twice the population - so the whole farking country is a huge place to go.  Anwyn is from the South, might as well be a different nation.

At any rate, no matter what I am, I'm not going to encounter the same problems as Annwyn, I live in an entirely different universe.

You so should have the right to arm sharks with friken lazer beams on their heads. That would be sweet.

I forget sometimes that I live on a tiny island nation compared to the rest of the world. I have never been to america. All I know comes from media and american tv. I'm sure they are an accurate depiction  ::)

I'm sure they are an accurate depiction

All American TV shows and movies are 100% true.

Ya left out the part about "all our cities are built on hills, spreading light to the entire world around them."

And ya left out Treasury Agents (not part of the Secret Service)

Shoot, when you're the country with more imprisoned people per capita than any other western democracy or pretty much any other country at all, it requires all sorts of state, local and federal police to round up all those folks and put 'em in the jails!!

Annwyn's experience exceeds my own as well while I lived in TN, AL, CA, WA, NJ and PA.

There are good cops and there are bad cops. Those who actually do their jobs and others who take mis-advantage of their positions. When your out in public it can be luck of the draw.

I was recovering from an accident and walking with cane. My bicycle tire was low on air so I stopped to use a pump at a gas station. On the way there I noticed a heavy set bald man chasing a half naked girl up the street. I flagged down the first police cruiser I saw. Big mistake. Not only would they not listen to me, they through me on the hood of the car and began to rifle through my pockets. Then they took me to an oil spill in the middle of the gas station, pushed me down and made a point of pushing my face in the oil. Finally their superior officers showed up and began to ask them questions. Noting that I did not fit the description at all and I could hardly walk, let alone chase someone. The good thing is they quit beating me up. The bad thing is the more aggressive one had it out for me for the next few years. But every time he bothered me he would end up embarrassing himself. The Chief of Police happened to frequent the same cafe as I did. Suddenly the harassment stopped
