I grew up during the '60s. I was more of an observer than a participant. There wear some good things, some bad things and other things that needed to be out in the open. To me the '60s tore the veil off the some things that the country had not dealt with either with sincerity or with indifference.
Some events like the civil rights movements and the anti-war sentiments were destined to happen. As far as gender is concerned, I believe the gender binary system did more harm to LGBT people. Not all boys played with guns, and not all girls like Barbie dolls. No two people are alike and to marginalize someone because they are different is cruel and inhuman.
I do agree with Mr. Shishmanian on some points (abortion) but I think that he needs to go deeper in his findings before coming to his conclusions, especailly in regards to gender.
