Quicksand

Hello, I am a 19 year old FTM attending university on the east coast of the US.  Being young, there isn't too much for me to say here!

I have had a very easy time with transitioning (which I did prior to coming to university at the beginning of the year) since I have always been very masculine in appearance, due to having excess testosterone because of a disorder.  I got pretty lucky with that, and have been basically living as male in demeanor and appearance for several years, so I'm a bit of an old pro at this.

Unfortunately, though, this also means I miss out on the fun of all those first experiences--the first time I got mistaken for a boy was in preschool!  However, I hope that I can provide advice and support in terms of passing, and receive advice myself when I eventually start testosterone (in about two months) and get surgery (who knows when?).

I have the utmost respect for the transgender community, and the LGBT community as a whole, and would like to make every effort to be a supportive and contributing member.  I'm looking forward to posting with everyone!

:o That sounds like a challenge!  One which I readily accept!

Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone!

Well sometimes seeing things from the inside is a very different view than from the outside.  The saying comes from someone I've worked with, and I've used it myself in the workplace.

I can definitely agree with that!  It'll be interesting to get that viewpoint.

Welcome, wish I'd transitioned as young as you can. Then I could say my first time for being taken as male was as a toddler too. Unfortunately, the info wasn't there for me, and I had to spend the interim time looking female. Past me now and it's all working as it should.

Hi Quicksand, :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 2230 strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another brother. :icon_hug:

And be sure to check out
