Champion's League Championship Game:

Barcelona 2 Manchester United 0

The first 10 minutes looked likely to take Man U clear quickly, but a brilliant run by Samuel Eto'o, who tied Nemanja Vidic and Michael Carrick tied in knots, and his goal (at 10) put United on their back foot for the rest of the match.

It was simply brilliant football as Thierry Henry, Eto'o, Lionel Messi, Carlos Puyol, Xavi, Andres Iniesta, Victor Valdez, Sylvinho, Yaya Toure, Sergi Busquets and Gerard Pique played incredible football in attack and defense.

After the first 10 minutes United appeared unlikely to score except for a few brief, very brief, almost-trouble marks by Wayne Rooney and one late freekick by Ronaldo.

Barca maintained the ball almost effortlessly and eventually, on another break, Messi headed in the clincher at 70 minutes.

If not for three or four good saves by Edwin Van der Sar the final would have been 4/5-0.

They played brilliant football against last year's champions.

No doubt in my mind, the world's most beautiful game is football, played by a passing and flowing team like Barcelona. Sometimes the skill and movement are simply breath-taking.

O, Catalunya!!
