Hello!
question on behalf of someone.
If you start estrogen for 2-3 months and have to stop but keep on anti testosterone.
then restart after about a year.
Will it damage you in any way? will it harm the progress and developments?

or will it just slow down and start again when estrogens are back?

As far as I know it doesn't cause any damage, but it can reduce the final resulting breast size. Although there is no consensus on that last part.

I'm still here. I was damaged before HRT but I don't think I'm more damaged from starting and stopping HRT which I have done several times.

Well... there's a few answers to that.

Being off of estrogen after being on it for 3 months may cause some nasty mood swings. However, it won't "damage" the body in any way. The body will cease to feminize until estrogen is re-introduced.
Even though you'll still be on an anti-androgen (spiro, I'm guessing?), you won't get any of the feminizing effects of estrogen.

If at all possible, hormones should be consistantly taken to avoid all of the mental side effects of going back and forth.

Not that I'm a doctor... just going off my own experience.

I stopped once for a few weeks while between refills and was extremely fatigued and depressed. I also had some bitchy PMS moments, lol. Wont let that happen again.

I have taken Premarin and the on-off effects were very severe. I was crying all the time when on meds, and mental things really affected me badly. When I went off Premarin I had hot flashes but generally stopped the moodiness and crying jags.

Fast forward about 10 years and I restarted again, but this time on Progynova. NO mood swings and NO crying at Bambi movies either.

I sometimes like to stop taking them cold turkey and I get swelling and a lot more tenderness in the breasts and they get hard and very perky! That lasts for about three weeks and then I re-start the Progynova all over again.

Back again on Progynova for 8 to 12 months and I just continued with breast growth, hips fat and my butt has gone rounder and smooth. Everything seems to stay or hold until I restart, but that might be from using estrogen for quite a few years now and I bet if I totally stopped forever, things would not change much or at all now.

I have never lost breast size during those "off-times", but sensitivity changes radically deep inside the breast tissue and when they bounce they cause small pains {that I like}. Cannot say that I get depressed or weak, but that's because there's no laws in medicine - only results and they vary with every person. Originally I was prescribed Premarin to cure my migraines, and they were cured in about the first week although I was kept on them for 6 months and developed a solid B chest.

Now at considerable years later, I am all the way out to a full C and just enjoy what I have.

So I can conclude it won't damage breast growth and shape and ending size? :) Correct me if I am wrong!

Thanks ^^

You are wrong. Stop taking it long enough and you will deflate. Not all the way because there is tissue that will be permanent. Fat cells will shrink but they don't go away. Get back on estrogen and you will go back to where you were and then continue from there.

Meanings it won't damage the final results then, as I understand from what you said? :)

Ugh.  I had to stop injections now because I cannot deal with doing them myself.  I have an appointment in two weeks and though it may not be total reversal I do feel like I need estrogen in my body, lol.  I have to ask my doctor if I can be switched to pills.  I hit a nerve the other day and I cannot handle needles anymore like I thought I could.

My breasts were small anyway.  I had read somewhere that "recharging" off of hormones, sort of like a period, is okay.

ouch! you hit a nerve, that had to hurt

It didn't really, it just completely freaked me out.  I saw part of my leg twitch!  That combined with past incidents of knots in my leg and passing out, I said forget injections.  I think mentally I am believing I am turning into a man!  :(  It's been a year on hormones and stopping for two weeks is going to drive me crazy.
