I have had 2 people tell me,..I should put in some intro thingy.
why I do not know.
it isn't like I expect to air-out my dirty laundry here...
and I am not looking for 30 year friendships.
I am online because I like to TRY to stay uninvolved with joe public as much as is possible.
but yo'kay fine.

Hi Veronica,

Welcome to Susan's and thank you for posting an introduction! We look forward to sharing our experiences and becoming friends.  You'd be surprised to learn how everyone here supports and cares for one another; Personally I have made great friendships here, and I have learned a zillion things which I hadn't before.  I guess I was just too involved in my stealth life and somehow I was trying to forget that I am also a transsexual woman and as such feel the need to be around people who have shared the same journey as I have.

I hope that three months from now you will also be happy to have found a few true friends here.  Perhaps our friendship will not be that of thirty years, but I assure you that this site will change your outlook at the way you think....for the better... :)

We welcome you as one of our new members, please make sure to read the site rules, visit our chatroom and explore our wiki which is a goldmine of information for everyone really.

We look forward to your future posts.  Enjoy your stay Veronica and keep smiling... :)

It's hard to say really but probably just to be polite I guess.  But then no one is forced to be polite.

It's good that you're not going to air-out your dirty laundry as dirty laundry is not very appealing to anyone but the owner, and sometimes it does tend to smell a little (depending on how dirty it is)   And at 50+ years old you probably have enough friends and acquaintances.  I know that I've never had 30 year friendships, no wait, second thoughts - there's Gill.

I'm afraid that pretty well everyone here is 'Joe Public' so it's going to be hard on you to become involved in anything that may be of interest, funny thing that.

It's good to be proud of our heritage.

Going for the throat every chance...  Hmmmm you sure you're not a vampire, as we have some here who fantasize about vampires.

Ya who needs heart strings, and emotional displays, they make me cry and my make-up runs creating an awful mess and the stuff is expensive.

Hey something in common, I'm a veteran too, but I think you are way too young to have been in a civil war so you're right it must have been foreign wars :).  Pretty soon I hope to have my dept paid to society as well as I did my time for my country but the buggers keep cutting away at my pension, how is a girl ever to pay off her debt.

So what are you TS/CD/TV/IS/A?

Have a great day and make yourself at home, you're among Joe public.

Well, it helps us get to know you a bit better, and how best to chat with you. For example, I'm not sure which pronouns you'd prefer? Veronica is obviously female, and yet your gender icon shows male ;)

Hi Veronica!  Thanks for joining us!

I love logic and rationality except that both attributes are oh so inadequate to completely define human existence.  They're really good as far as they go though.

again, WELCOME ! !  :)
