I was never quite sure. But I made pork n' beans with pineapple chunks and rice for dinner earlier this evening
Yummy, pineapples are sweet that's why I like them. I like Kiwis too

the other thing to fear, in my backyard at least, are rattlesnakes.

i was pulling some weeds earlier and heard that sound that makes you freeze.

went and got a shovel to dispatch the critter, but couldn't find it.

hopefully it took off across the field and finds my annoying neighbor's dog that barks at all hours

or maybe finds the neighbor

Maybe she'll find it inside a pineapple?

I'll be lead guitarist! heh heh heh

Or maybe I'd rather be something to do with Kiwis... pineapples are starting to scare me more and more, especially with rattlesnakes in 'em now.

Well if its dry enough you might want to shake your shoes out before you put them on, scorpions love that hot shoe deal.

It's really only leeches that I can't stand.  I remember being barely 5 minutes into the jungle and getting absolutely covered in the buggers.  They tend to infest the tea plantations too.  (These are the smaller, thinner pale ones that get in everywhere rather than the larger, darker water leeches).

Leeches?  :P A full body wet suit under your BDU's solves the problem

You know, this does sound like something a New Zealander would do. Of course, you guys must be plagued with diabolical pineapples plotting to take over the local area code.

Over here, we chop them up, put them in a can in their own juices and sell them at grocery stores. It's about what they deserve, I think.

I agree whole heartily! Do Kiwis grow in New Zealand?  I know they have the cute bird type Kiwis, I like them too

a friend of mine made some pineapple martinis the other day, ZOMG they were delicious! Even sinister fruit can have their uses.

I heard pineapples messed with your hormones... or was it grapefruits? Indeed there is a lot of sinister fruit out there. :icon_yikes:
