Do you all have an annual "get together" or BBQ or (cant think of a better word) convention?
If not would anyone be interested in that idea?

Sure.  Pool party.  Santa Rosa.  Easy to find, get the Pacific Ocean, go up 40 miles from SF, turn right, 40 miles, call me.  I'll have the grill going.

I'm actually going back to Seattle on Tuesday.. too bad I won't be there long enough to get that party started :)

LOL Tekla. Briana, I know they had a little "Susan's Fest" back in 2006 in Portland... that was when I first joined this site, and at the last minute I was unable to attend. It'd be chill to plan another, but I believe the problem is that we all live in different parts of the country (and the world).

I don't have enough room here, but if I ever make enough money to start a homestead, I might host a Susan's Fest...just bring your winter coats folks, winters are pretty bad up here sometimes.
