this might be kind of a personal question but i was wondering how many FTMs here haven't transitioned all the way (are still unfortunatly in the female body) but have face hair liek goatees and stuff  ???

I've been on T for about 18 months. I have a left sideburn and a little chin scruff. Didn't have any facial hair at all before T though, so I'm being patient (although a right sideburn would be nice, dammit!)

There are some bio females who have facial hair before T, but it can also be a sign of PCOS (Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome).

And now a chance to rant on my pet peeve - transguys who grow facial hair before they really can. If you're over 18, it looks silly to have a teenage boy's wispy scruff showing! I went to a meeting once early in my transition where about three of the guys could be read so easily as FtM because they were in their 30's and their beards were in their teens. And they kept going on about how well they passed. I thought even if I didn't know what an FtM was I'd have clocked them.

I think Andre has a chin goatee and isn't even on T.  Also, I saw an FTM on Sunday that had a goatee.

I had a very very faint moustache of darker hair but my mom had that too...  It was still very wispy and very short, invisible unless you look close.  Now I shave my face to get rid of my girl fuzz.

yeah i think it is annoying when guys even if they aren't T brag about having like three hairs on their chin XD i've always wanted a goatee... i think it would look good on my face kinda but i think i'd get teased pretty bad in school by the ppl who already know i'm technically female XD

Yeah, sometimes having hair is more of a giveaway than not until you're absolutely sure it comes in thick and even.  Genetic guys who can't grow beards know they can't, and shave so no one else finds out.

lolz yeah i could see that, guys shavign to look cool XD i always thought just shaving face hair made it thicker ???

Hey, that describes how I looked my first year in college.  I got teased by me eventual-to-be wife about that.  I just shaved until about 5 years later when I could actually grow something.  Well, I guess my body didn't like T too well, and now I'm glad as it's made feminizing much easier.

I have some facial hair, and I'm not on T... it's enough that it shows up, even though my hair is dark blonde, and if I darken it just a bit, I think it looks natural. I shave everything on my face but my upper lip and chin, so no worries about the female facial fuzz that tends to be a dead giveaway.

I spent 3 years getting rid of facial hair, by electrolysis and I so much love my female fuzz.... I last shaved in 2003.

You guys.... just crack me up!

I would have gladly swapped.

*trades* lolz that would be cool if you really could switch stuff like that with people... would cost alot less than hair removal lazering and stuff XD

Oh, I'd say you can still have fuzz when you're eighteen if you look young enough. Some of the guys in my dorm still have it--even I look older than they do!

Oh yeah, definitely some bio guys still have fuzz when they're 18/19. The difference is, though that bio guys, as they get older, if they still have wispy fuzzy beards, will shave them off. I've seen transguys in their 40's with wispy fuzzy patches of hair, growing it out, because it's new to them I guess. That's the dead giveaway part.

Well then I am glad to report that mine is filling in thick, and not wispy :)

A lot of the young-looking bio guys at my college keep the fuzz because it's the only thing they've got!  ;D Poor kids. I shave now but I'm going to grow it a little for my Christmas visit to my family...to hammer the point home...
