Eating your heart out?

I've read numerous posts here saying, "When I see photos of this woman, I eat my heart out".

It doesn't have to be that extreme, but do photos of some kind of women give you a heart pang of jealousy?

I think it makes sense.

I can do sexy, cool, assertive, and warm no problem. I can't do classically beautiful -- slender, fine bone structure, upturned button nose, narrow waist. I just can't.

Other women that give me pangs of envy:

• pregnant women or women with young children
• sopranos
• women who can lead 5.12 sport climbs (or better)

all for the same reason -- it's so obviously out of reach for me. Okay, I can improve my climbing. I can even probably expand the upper end of my vocal range quite a bit from where it is now. But I will never bear children.

To clarify:

Woman are very different and their presentation goals are different.

It's not necessary to be a raving pool of jealousy to be affected by a photo of a woman.
Maybe it's only a very mild case of "Yeah, that's the kind of woman I'd like to be."
To admit that you are affected by the photos of some sort of woman is not necessarily saying that you are unhappy with yourself.
Conversely, a genre of photos may have resonance with you even if it is an unattainable goal.

For this (very scientific) poll, just answer which sort of photos causes the most internal longing, even if it's negligible.

I didn't vote beautiful, sexy, cool or assertive, because that's not me.

Ha! I'm the only one who selected cool/hip women, so far.

My jealous pangs are less than they used to be, but they are still there. I think age has a lot to do with it, now. There are lots of looks I can't pull off, not because I don't blend, but because i am older, and i never got to be younger...at least not younger and physically female.

Thats a real good question! Depending on my mood often decides how I feel about other womens looks. Some days I feel so good nothing fazes me, and sometimes I see a very femme type drop dead gorges female and it makes me feel like I look like crap  .  But thats the way it goes huh!

I have to say the majority of the time I enjoy looking at other women because I'm curious how she is dressing how she is carrying  herself, the vibe I get  from a women, I just get fascinated
