I just pierced my spouse's ears last night! I am so happy for her, I had to share it! I also feel very honored that she shared this with me, and let me be the one to give her something that means so much to her.

I used to work at Claire's, so I did this for a living for quite some time, and remembered that Sally's Beauty Supply sells disposable ear piercing kits. Just remember though ladies, before you run out to Sally's to pick up some, that it is ALWAYS better to have a professional do any piercing. They know what they are doing.

Maybe I could open my own jewelry/piercing store like Claire's, and cater only to my lovely TG friends.
A girl can dream, can't she? LOL

have a professional do any piercing

Some teenage girl working part-time at an inexpensive costume jewelry store hardly qualifies as a professional.

Actually, only management at most of those stores, who usually are in their 20's or 30's with extra training on safety, do any piercings. It's company policy.

I was management, so I know.

The girls in my dorm did the first one, old school, large gauge sewing needle and and ice cube.

My first piercing was done the same way, and I came away with no problems, but that's not always the case. It is always better to use the right equipment that has been properly sterilized, so that the chances of a nasty infection are much slimmer.

I don't think there was much of that around where I went to college (central Iowa) and when (1974).

I got my ears peirced in 2000. At a Claires store. This was days before my wife and I got married and she went with me. The girl who eventually did the work thought my wife was my mother and asked her to sign the parental consent section on the form.  My right ear bled like a gunshot wound because she had to do it twice.
