A few months ago I went to the ER to have my biological needs checked. I had an abnormal period cycle (still is now) that wouldn't stop bleeding. after all of the tests that was done the doctor told me that my thyroid level was low and that she recommended me to see an endocrinologist. I just made an appointment yesterday to see one after several months (depression caused me not to care for my health) and I'm concern for my future T treatments.

If I'm diagnose of having hypothyroidism and need to take a pill for it for the rest of my life... will this ruin my chance of hormone treatment? I'm just now starting to take care of myself.
