I have another question that concerns the type of collagen that keeps our skin tight and youthful. What relations do estrogen and testosterone have in keeping this type of collagen high or low in our body? Does more testosterone mean less collagen and does more estrogen mean more collagen? I am just confused by things I am seeing online and would like to know what the real deal is. Even on the wiki about hrt for mtfs it says that a reduction in collagen happens as a result which doesnt make sense to me at all. I thought estrogen is supposed to support collagen growth in the skin, so with the wiki saying that collagen is reduced, does that mean that testosterone just makes more? Therefore going mtf would mean less collagen? I am confused someone please clear up the false info thanks lol

Quotedoes estrogen have a tendency to create more collagen?
I haven't a clue, but I do know without a doubt that Estrogen/anti-androgens has done wonders for my skin, even though I'm 55.   8)
To those who understand, I extend my hand
To the doubtful I demand, take me as I am
Not under your command, I know where I stand
I won't change to fix your plan, Take me as I am (Dreamtheatre - As I Am)
I started out with nothing..... and I still have most of it left.

I added vitamin c and e supplements and they are really enhancing the effects of the estrogens. I read about micronised vitamin c creame, and have been thinking about trying it but it's really expensive...and I'm not sure how much better a job it can do from the outside than from the inside.

If you want a really good skin cream, I'd suggest Retin-A
