An inner sense of self, a brain sex, a "Dysphoria" a 4 year old child, lying in bed tormented by horrific demons and the the time is 2:27 am on the 20th of August 1968. I don't know about transsexual folks, and how they will relate to this, but when I was a kid, yes I had a "Brain sex" but it did not manifest as wanting to play with dolls or wear dresses. It was much more surreal than that. This one nightmare describes it perfectly.
