It's supposed to be about 21 for the hips. However, I'm 25 and I've gotten a bit of bone growth, and it's still going on.
Hi!
I was just editing my post when I saw an email saying you replied.
Yes, I was just trying to find that, I remember in people who did not go through female puberty, the hip bones seal quite later in life, I heard some people say numbers like after 30 or up to 45, but I am having doubts about that late numbers.
How do you know it is bone growth and not just fat?
Anyways, what I wanted to add:
Currently I have quite a bit more fat at the back of my hips, I am not sure if a lot more than before or not.
At the sides of my hips, not so much, I can touch bone quite instantly I think.
I don't know how it is supposed to be and if you should even have fat at the sides or hippy girls instantly touch bone too.
Maybe someone else can answer that?
I am not sure, but according to my boyfriend they are about the same width as my shoulders, maybe 2cm difference, not sure which side?
But then I'd think, will it change the way we walk? what makes girls wiggle? people say the hips, I am not sure I wiggle, but not every girl wiggles too.
I was told I sometimes wiggle O_o
It is not completely true that you can't do anything about the bones either btw, I think those might never fuse, but some parts of them might behave differently.
In puberty, the bones which widen are the pubic bones for example, that is done by the cartilage holding them together stretching and ossifying, creating more bone.
But, as far as I remember, the pubic are not entirely bone, most thing which stretches there is cartilage.
during pregnancy relaxin hormone causes widening of the hips too, affecting this cartilage again its seems.
After pregnancy the change stays and as far as I remember most of it turns into bone too.
So maybe there is a way to do it, but maybe in addition to relaxin you'd need some force like the womb pushing there or the baby, something might be possible but who knows

But anyhow, back to subject, I think pubic widening is possible even at quite an adult age.
