During a Saturday workshop on the Employment Non-Discrimination Act at the annual 19th annual Southern Comfort Conference, Vandy Beth Glenn, who testified in a congressional hearing on the bill just days earlier, shared her experience of sitting before U.S. lawmakers.
"I was the only person there as a victim ... and that's not how I like to characterize myself, but that was my official role," she said.
Glenn is suing the Georgia General Assembly in federal court for firing her for being transgender. She discussed her case before the House Education & Labor Committee on Wednesday.
