Hi Tinkerbell,

Well here is what I would love to see done in the state of NY. Sense TS persons have a disability I believe the state of NY should have to pay for transitional treatment for all persons suffering from the "treatible" disability. Should those that have lost their jobs, housing etc. not also qualify for: housing for the disabled, disability income through SSI, and full medical?? After all that is what persons with both physical and mental disabilities qualify for!  And if it is a disability should it not be covered by all medical insurances for those with jobs? I mean last time I checked a disability with a treatment is deemed medically necessary!

Here is yet again another complete constradiction of legal stands. They shift things so that they can have what they want the way they want it and it does not even begin to fit into the definition of common sense. Of course they would need to be further educated and the material that has been out there over the years is all but accurate in many cases!  Do I need to say the name John Money???

Thank you for bringing this up.

Here is what scares me about this. I've very rusty on this, but if I remember correctly, most forms of insanity also fall under the disability arena. If this is true, couldn't this also end up being used against us to keep us out of even more opportunities? I would think this would make the TSs of New York even more desperate and even more ostracized by society, as if we weren't already alone for the most part.

Nowadays, however, TS people in California do not have to rely on this "disability law" to keep their jobs, for there are specific laws which currently protect us.

Transenderd pepple can not bee fierd for beeng tranenderd.  Yu must finde some other reeson to gett ridd of hem.  Yu wont two lae won off?  Make sher you lae off some guy in humane resoorces two so the gender skales ballunce. Othurwise they will suu yo ask.
