Bisexuals and Androgynes

I have a feeling that the bisexual experience is kind of similar to the androgyne experience. We are both accused of being fence sitters, often not accepted by either side of the fence, often feeling like we don't belong with the binaries, considered to be afraid of the stigma of being labled as gay/transexual, our preferences are not always constant.

Just thought it was an interesting analogy.

I was thinking about how I would feel if my wife was bisexual, and for some reason that would make me feel insecure. Rationally it makes no difference to me, but I must have internalised a lot of social messages about it. At the same time I started thinking that actually my wife is heterosexual and I am not a man and suddenly I was like

Gay and lesbian lovers tend to avoid us for relationships specifically because of that "we could go either way" factor. Some don't even consider us "true" transsexuals because we aren't strictly enamoured of the "opposite" sex, whatever that's supposed to mean. I can truthfully say I've been bi my entire life, and never really had a preference of one over the other. I just figured it meant I got twice as many dates as those other people.

Some times we're like 2 gay lovers, some time we're like girls talking and connecting emotionally thru conversation or like 2 rough housing hetero boys.

Like a long conversation, it continually flows on, always moving on so that neither remembers what we were talking about 10 minutes ago.
Were we a boy and girl then? Wait which one was responding with a feminine brain? Must have been me and my Estrace soaked  brain.....

Agreed.. all of the above (regarding being bisexual). So often people seem to have trouble distinguishing gender identity fron sexuallity. Recently someone said to me " but aren't most ->-bleeped-<-s straight ?? .... I'm still at a loss to see what exactly he meant by this statement

Hmmm, I suppose at this point I should clarify that in a context such as this forum I tend to both interpret and use the words "boy" and "girl" interchangeably with "male" and "female" respectively, and that my previous post was in no way intended to insinuate anything pedophilic.

I sometimes forget that these words carry very age-specific meanings to some individuals.

No I got that, I was just purposfully being difficult  . I guess nothing is particulalry as clear cut when it comes to sexuality and gender - I like to play on that.

a little while ago I was asked at a trans meeting by someone I hadn't met before if I started life as a male or female that was nice I was wearing mid road clothling from fem side of shop with extra padding in bra and My beard was fairly thick
