Binders: chest binding, open chest binding

how was the stomach compression for you? Im looking forward to that, to straighten my sides out a bit(I've got a bit of baggage) :[... also I have heard bad reviews about tkingdom, that their quality is not worth their price compared to underworks.

I was 140lbs in the summertime when I first got the binder, and after writing that post, got on the scale... and I'm actually 160lbs now, not 150... and all my pants from 20 and 30 lbs ago still fit fine when I'm binding. So, I'd say the stomach compression is excellent. I honestly didn't know I'd put on 20 lbs. 

I wear the underworks 4 or 5 days a week, and the t-kingdom 2 or 3; and it's wearing out faster. It was about twice the price. Yeah, I'd say it's not worth it's money. Then again, I'm sort of large-chested, I guess? So it could depend on the shape of the person who's wearing it. I'm finding that it doesn't bind much at all anymore, and it's only been a few months. The underworks one has only just now broken in well, by comparison.

I rarely bind, having nothing but sports bras and an ace bandage. The ace bandage caused my ribs hell, as well as sliding around, so I stopped using that.
I also would layer two or three sports bras but I've lost some weight lately, so they no longer compress. I'm like... an A or something at the moment.
There was also bike shorts at some point, with the crotch cut out, worn like a tee shirt but that stretched out and stopped working after a while.
Most bio guys with my build are completely flat chested, so the whole 'making pecs' thing wouldn't be of any use to me.
Currently, I'm trying to find a friend to order me a binder,

My Double Compression tank top was a little tight at first until I got used to it. When I bought the new one it fit perfectly (same size) so I'm guessing I just had to get used to wearing a binder. I find the Extreme Chest Concealer to not bind as well and is uncomfortable.

So how was your first time binding? How was the experience of wearing your first binder? Did you need help putting it on?

I'm 5'5 145 lbs. My chest is a large A/small B. I have the Underworks 983 Tri-Top in a size small. I had the same experience as Cody...the first few weeks, getting it on was really rough. I tore the skin off all my knuckles trying to pull it up from my feet up. I still can't get it on over my head. It makes my chest look quite passable and I'm very pleased with it. It's the shorter one so it kind of looks like a bra if you're just wearing it, but I don't really mind. This binder has two small problems that I've encountered. Sometimes the hem on the neck sticks out some and makes a weird bulge in my shirt. I always wear it with a t-shirt over it, then whatever other shirt I'm wearing that day. It works with everything from t-shirts to sweaters to button downs. The other problem is that if you have a bit of a gut or wide hips, it can accentuate them because it stops right at the top of your belly. Other than those two small problems, I'm very happy with the tri-top, but am still curious as to how it would compare to the other binders you guys are talking about. Oh, I also have the problem that was mentioned, how the moobs stick out the arm holes and make a weird fat shape. I don't like it but I don't think it's incredibly noticeable. That's just my opinion!

I've heard a lot about the tri-top, that it works well for bigger chests.

But the gut part is why i don't want a "bra" styled binder, maybe once I work out and lose enough weight, but for now I don't want it showing even more.

-Yes.

If so, what do you use to bind?
-Flat sports bra from Walmart (I got 4 for $10... it was a good deal) & combined with a tight spandex body shaper top that I got a longgg time ago.

Does it work well, and give a good effect?
-It only works well with baggy clothes. If I'm nervous or stressed, I have a hard time taking deep breaths wearing all of it.

I'm thinking of getting the 801 from tkingdom despite the zipper issue dealy just to start. It's going to be my Christmas present to myself. Maybe.

When I first started looking at binders, t-kingdom was my first option. They're expensive, but they seemed of exceptional quality and I hadn't known of underworks yet.

Then I heard of underworks, and I checked them out. Read some reviews, researched them a bit. And decided to go with them.

They are wayyyy less $$ and they're in the US. I've also heard better things about underworks than t-kingdom.

when i first stated binding i used a large ace bandage. it didnt really work cuz if i did it tight i couldnt breathe and anything other than tight it would ride down my chest and end up on my ribs. i kept finding myself pulling it up, which felt like i was drawing too much attention to the situation. so then i was so desperate i used duct tape. horrible idea and i still hav the scars from it pulling my skin, although it made my chest look nice. rite now i use a sports bra but i dont like the feeling of it. the feeling of a bra makes me feel womanly, a feeling i dislike very much so. i just ordered a binder from underworks. i ordered the relaxed midsection one cuz i didnt want pressure on my stomach all day. its on its way in the mail and im lookin forward to not havin to wear a bra anymore.

I had the same problem, I hadn't heard of binders so I tried an ace bandage. It kept falling down and I didn't like it much, so I just stuck with sports bras. The only thing that makes me feel womanly, is my big chest showing.

So how was your first time binding? How was the experience of wearing your first binder? Did you need help putting it on?

I didn't have anyone to help me put it on the first time. It was too small and the outcome was disastrous. I couldn't even get it over my shoulders. I wrestled with the thing so much I got rub burns and bruises on my arms, neck, shoulders and back. I (finally) realized this thing just wasn't going on so I exchanged it for one size up. Much better.

I had to wrestle with it some but it wasn't too bad. As time goes on it will be easier to put it on and take it off (even with a new one) since you get the hang of it. Wearing something underneath the binder- like a tank top- makes it easier to put on and take off. The Double Compression was tight feeling at first- especially around the chest. You'll learn how to move the moobs around for optimal binding. It made my breathing feel different but not suffocating. It takes some getting used to but I find mine comfortable while still binding well.

I bought like a 3X size or what have you but damn...  I'm like a 48DD so it's hard to keep from showing them

I have a 997 double front from underworks and I love it, I've bought 3 997 (small)so far I think and 1 988(X-small, I bought a small first which is my usual size but for some reason it was really loose so I exchanged it. When I am trying to get really flat I wear one 997 and then my 988 or 2 997s over each other. I always wear a white beater underneath and then a smaller beater over top(if I am wearing 2) to cover up that awkward collar sticking up thing. And then a white undershirt and then my normal clothes. I love the 997 but I can't wear the 988 without another underneath because it just doesn't bind as well. And as far as the 997 rolling up I actually help that if I am wearing enough layers that you can't see the crinkles in the fabric it actually makes it look like i don't have hips because it fills the gap of that annoying curve.

I'm a 34B/C (I never really ever bought a bra so that's a guesstimation.) I'm also 5'2" and 110 pounds so my tumors look gigantic without binding.

We are basically the same overall size, im short as well.
Im for sure going for the 997 in small, just not sure on the color yet. I don't have the money to even buy one, but if I did id buy 3.

If you would like to try one out, I could send you one of my older ones, they really aren't stretched out I was just paranoid about them not working as well, I will wash it a few times in cold water to help them shrink back up from the imaginary stretching. I works well enough. I'm a 44DD so it's not going to be perfect, but it makes me a bit better, unless it starts to roll up. It does that occasionally if i move around too much. I wear a sports bra under it, because I can never seem to get the moobs in an even position.

I bind occasionally.  I use a double-front compression shirt from Underworks (a member on here passed it on to me and they're really cool and I'm so grateful for it) that I double-up because I don't like it on my stomach because of how tight it feels on it.   I, however, have gained chest size (I'm back to a DD) and I'm trying to lose that size again because I want to be able to wear my binder.  If I fail, however, I'm willing to send it on to someone else.

I was lucky enough to get it from the big brothers binder program a year ago I think. Nick is a great guy and I'm very grateful. I have around a DD chest now I think and it's a medium. It worked great for the longest but in the last month it's begun to stretch out so I'll be scrounging cash together to get another one soon hopefully

Previous binder: I bought a 978 from underworks about 6 months ago. Didn't work for me at all so I tried to cut it into a tank-top style and removed the cotton side from it but it didn't help much. Pretty much useless in my case.

Yes the coupon still works.
I think I am on the high end of a small so I could get a small or medium and I wear small. In my opinion I feel like I need an extra small. But its all in personal preference. Like for me, I wear the tritop, and I don't have a hard time getting it on n off, n im comfortable in it n I can wear it all day. The only thing that bugs me is when it pops out and the armpit fat. So if you bind and are used to tight then get an xsmall but if this is your first time go small and see how it feels. They have a good return policy if it doesn't fit right.
