I keep getting these weird red marks whenever I use cream or eppilation to remove hair from my chest or thighs. They never seem to appear anywhere else though. Anyone have an idea as to what causes them or how to prevent them?

It's likely just skin irritation.
If it's bad, stop using whatever you are using.

Actually, now they look more like zits. Ingrown hairs perhaps? Any tips to avoid or get rid of them?

Yes, those are some of the more sensitive parts of your body when it comes to ingrowth.

If eplilating/waxing take particular care to get the direction of removal correct...With cream, use the sensitive type...

There are also creams and lotions available to calm the effect...I have one from Nads..but they are not cheap ($7 to $15 typical)

In the mean time, I suggest regular medicated exfoliation to reduce pore clogging and infection, and keep moisturised.

If the problem persists, then look at different ways of hair control in those areas (ie waxing, laser, inhibitor, abrasive pads, etc), and the problem should reduce if you keep to a regular routine...
