Tinkerbell's cake is baked.  What could be better than that?

Awwww...Thank you!

If I may add, it is so wonderful to take a shower every morning and not to see "anything" there.  It just feels so right, and I wouldn't mind living with my friend, the pain, the rest of my life really, for it would be worth it.

This may seem kinda gross but yesterday I was given my first internal.  The reason for getting it done was not a good one but the fact that the OBGYN gave me one was sort of an affirming thing :)

My new kitty, the one I found in the parking lot of our complex on New year's eve, purred for the first time today when I held her.  I was getting rather worried because I'd not heard her purr, and that 's not a very good sign in a cat.  She, yes it is a girl, still doesn't have a name.  Kimberly suggested "Angel" but the thing is that that name's already been taken by my older kitty.

I was thinking Princess, but I am not sure.  I already call her something though.  Caramelito which means cotton candy in Spanish.  I just don't want to burn my liver everytime that I take her to the vet and the admission technician questions me...."what?"  "what does that mean?"  "how do you spell that?".... ::) Grrrrrr

"This is to certify that I, T.M., M.D., have performed male to female gender reassignment surgery on the above patient...."

Yay!  I was rather worried, for my letter hadn't arrived, well, it finally did today....I just can't believe that a simple piece of paper can change the life of a person in so many "legal" ways.  So, I will definitely start doing the necessary paper work to change my BC this coming monday.  Karen was telling me that they charge $350 or so dollars...geez! ;D

$320, and take cash or a check.  The 'service' the Superior courts use want $20 to process your credit card..

YAY, TINK!!!

I have been avoiding to talk about it because I know I am going to lose it   :( :'( Well, as you know we already have four cats; and our apartment is not that big, so when I brought this kitty home, my BF had a cow and became upset with me.  The following monday after I found her, we placed an ad on the paper and several others around the neighborhood, but no one called, so I decided to keep the kitty, but my BF did not want to, especially because she was not spayed and we did not know if she had received her vaccinations, so basically my BF was concerned about my other cats, for they were all involved in rough playing.  *sighs* Therefore, after a few screams and loud arguments, I decided to find her a home.

There is this friend from work who lives in a huge house by the bay, her husband is now retired and they only have one chihuahua dog and two cats; well, after telling her the story, she asked me to bring her to her place and so I did.  It was extremely hard to say good-bye to caramelito (something I called her), mainly because she had been with us for almost a month.  I am just very happy that I found her a good home, she has plenty of room to play, a huge backyard, and a room specially designed for my friend's cats with huge scratcher posts, lots of food and so forth.

So yeah, she hasn't been with us since last Thursday.  I told my lady friend that if for any reason they are not happy with her, I wouldn't hesitate to take her back.  The good thing is that she does not live very far from where I live, so I will be visiting her whenever I have the chance.  Thanks for asking Kristi, I am bummed as you can imagine! :(

P.S. sorry Kristi, I inserted my post in your post, so that is the reason of my name at the bottom of it.

That's great that you found her a home Tink, a far better choice than the alternative.

Yes, thank you Steph.  I had to, I just couldn't take her there where they could have euthanized her.

I understand.  I was geting ready to take another kitty belonging to a friend who died.  But I didn't need another one inserted into my menagerie of animals.  But she meant a lot sentimentally.  At the last moment a really good home came up.  So that was good but I was bummed too.

No need to apologize, should have put the post in there to start with.  Must give an awesome rush of power to be able to do things like that as a moderator. ;).   Unless, of course you were just trying to steal my dancing kitty.  Halfway expected her to show up at the bottom of your signature.

In Firefox, it's even easier if you know how.  BUT......I've programmed them never to purr away from home.  Plus their appetite quadruples out of my sight.

I found the courage to come out to a very dear email pen pal of mine tonight... a woman whose long-distance friendship I deeply cherish.

As wonderful as she is, I feared the worst, as she's a very proper and polite southern christian gal.

And I just received her reply... and can't stop crying over the kindness and support she just expressed to me. My god... I know I keep saying this, but I just don't know how I deserve to be surrounded by people like you all. I'm just in awe, humbled to my knees.

In fact, you know what? As wonderful as the treasures of accepting myself and transitioning have been, I think the real treasure of this adventure has been the restoration of my faith in the beauty and magic of people. Humans. Those silly creatures I've always feared and thought the worst of. I feel so ashamed of that. In my paranoia and self-loathing, I never gave them even half a chance. And how much I've MISSED because of that... THAT's the real tragedy.

I closed my eyes to the beauty of all of you :(

There are lots of knuckleheads out there, but there are also loads of loving, curious, and understanding people.

Embrace the good ones.  Just as you need them, they also deserve your support.  :)

Kate, what a beautiful story with a beautiful ending, and a powerful lesson for all of us.   Thanks so much for sharing!

Yay!  I've just spoken with my angel without wings  ;), I am glad that I had a chance to talk to her; after the night, there is a brand new day! Everything has a solution in life except death! After a storm, there is always a rainbow.  :)  You can see His face in the rain. :)
