article linkLambdaistanbul's homosexual consultation hotline, which has been in operation for the past two years, is now continuing its role with an expanded scope and revitalized energy.
The hotline was started in July 2004 by the Lambdaistanbul Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Transsexual (LGBTT) Solidarity Association. As of this week, the hotline has a new team of Lambdaistanbul volunteers who aspire to continue the work with a revitalized energy. The scope of the hotline has also been expanded. Speaking to TNA, Lambdaistanbul volunteer Bawer explained, "The new hotline will not only serve the LGBTT community but also those who have LGBTT friends or relatives and parents who may have questions regarding the issue."
The hotline was established in order to provide support, information and advice on homosexuality, bisexuality, transvestitism and transsexuality. The hotline is open to anyone who wishes to clarify questions in their minds and to learn about legal, sexual and social issues. The Lambdaistanbul volunteers are ready to advise callers on all questions they may have regarding their own sexual orientation and sexual identity.
