As anorak-wearing transsexual Hayley Cropper she's famed for her nervous disposition and sweet manner.

So it comes as a surprise that actress Julie Hesmondhalgh, who plays bumbling café owner, is loud, giggly and as chatty as barmaid Becky McDonald after a few pints of cider.

And now the star has issued a warning to Corrie producers: "Don't try to get rid of me or you will have a fight on your hands."
