Training and placement for transgenders

for 30 of them as security guards in apartment complexes, hotels and corporate offices in the city. A six-day training programme in self-defence, yoga and meditation, and confidence building was organised here to give them the basic physical skills and mental outlook that would help them fare well in a their position.
According to Reshma Sharma, founder of the organisation: "We have been working with transgenders across the city for the last three months and trying to convince them on the need to develop skills to change their lifestyle. The training programme focussed on socio-economic courses and employable skill-training. We also arranged placements for those who were willing."
