Yes, I know, it's not even halloween yet..
But I just... I love the winter solstice.. I love yule,.. it's my favorite one!

So here's the thing.
I'm looking for songs and/or altered lyrics to songs for this yule.
I would love something I could play guitar to and some inspiration to translate to Icelandic..

All I've found so far is this, which is quite good, but more is Always better.
So...
Got any links/tips/lyrics to share?

Min, are you looking for something Heathen-specific or Pagan in general?

I don't know of many myself, but I do know some folks in a local Asatru Kindred. They might have suggestions.

Miniar

in general is alright but something from the local asatruar would be absolutely appreciated :D

Not a lot of songs but some nice variations here

I can't seem to find my big Text file of good ones - if I find it I'll post them.

Well, my Asatruer didn't know of any offhand, but she was going to forward my request along to a local Asatru message board.

Min, here's my friend's reply.

QuoteSuccess!  Someone on my Vanic mailing list suggested  http://www.odins-gift.com/mp3/heathensongbook.htm  which is a good start.  And, apparently, Dianna Paxon has a whole hymnal of Pagan/Heathen songs, including some for Yule.

I once heard Dianna Paxon speak at a Christian-Wicca-Asatru interfaith discussion panel at the seminary where my wife was studying. Ms. Paxon is part of The Troth. Under there "Resources" link, they have "Lore Resources." I don't know if they will help at all, but I thought I'd pass that along, too.
