I used to have a pair of black platorm flip flops, now I have a white pair.  I actually want a pair of platorm shoes that are not flip flops, but regular shoes that tie.  I almost twisted my ankle wearing those black pair - the strap broke on it and now it's got gorilla glue on them and i don't know if it would still work.

Does anyone know of a place besides ebay to find this type of shoes?  I've been to Hot Topic but they are crazy expensive too.

Thanks.

Try the thrift store.  I got a really awesome pair of platform shoes there for two dollars, whereas my platform boots from Hot Topic cost a humiliating amount (but it was worth it).

Sometimes I go to the goodwill with mum.  I've found some platforms then, but they were like, sizes 5-8.  I wear 11 in womens and 10 in mens.  We had a thrift store at one time, I hope they are still open, I'll have mum to take me there soon and see if they're open.  I got some awesome stuff there, even a brand new bottle of cologne called "Avatar" or something like that, for my brother.
Yeah I've seen prices on the Hot Topic shoes.  Goodness they're expensive!  I believe you when you say it was worth it.  They got THE coolest shoes there. :)

You have to get the right kind, of course; most of their stuff is crap, and that probably extends to their shoes.  I got lucky with boots that have lasted over 4 years (and I don't take pains to treat them nicely, either).  Anyway, thrift stores often have clothes and shoes in odd sizes, but you have to keep checking so you don't miss stuff; I have to go there if I want any stylish clothes in my size; otherwise, I have to wear clothes made for little old ladies.

I'm gonna ask mum if she will take me to those thrift stores that she knows about.

You mentioned sizes... for clothes I have to go to goodwills to find my stuff.  i'm so big i wear a 2-3x. in shirts and almost a 40 waist.  My shoe size is like 10 in mens and 11 in womens... WIDE!

Anyway, thank you for the advice about thrift shops. :)
