Hi, I am verry new to this

Hi everyone
I am really new to this and very scared that I might say something verry wrong.
Dispite being working with computers since 1986 I am very new to this world.
I have joined because my ongoing gender identity problems and feelings I have been living with and battling with every day of my life since I was aprox 4 years old. 🙁

No reason to be shy here. We all have or have loved ones who have gender problems. So one thing is for sure you are amongst a family of friends who understand and have lived with such issues.

I'm relatively new myself.  It feels like I only just made the decision to finally live my life.  Despite my total of lack of knowledge on all the technical part I have been rather warmly welcomed.  I know the feeling of the struggle, as do many others here - We can't change our past but we can start ourselves in a new direction for tomorrow.     
We are learning - the only way to find out if we are wrong is to ask our questions.  Believe it or not people don't expect us to know everything right off the bat.  
If you're really uncomfortable with your lack of knowledge read for a bit - there is no rush to participate here and there is plenty of stuff here to learn. 🙂

As Cindy mentioned, you are here among friends now. There is really nothing, short of blatantly attacking someone else, that will be wrong. There are many of us who are new to this becoming ourselves and many of us who are embarking on the journey after many years of denial, fear and confusion (48 years for me). So, don't be shy, step right up and ask questions, start topics of your own, share your experiences, join the party.

Welcome!! The first steps are the most difficult to make. You are not alone here as many of us are just beginning to examine our genders and where we fit in-or not. You will find people who are single, divorced, and those who are married (as I am) and have children.

I have been reading and studying for a while and still there are many articles and forum posts I have not read. I consider myself most fortunate to have found this site and have recieved much comfort and support from members here. Just knowing I am not alone in my struggles helps me a great deal. Feel free to ask any questions you wish to and if you look thru previous posts you will probably find someone else who has asked the same thing you need to know. I looked and read posts and articles for a long time before joining.

I know how you feel as I have also recently joined Susans after stumbling onto the site. Everyone is very warm and welcoming. You will find as I have found that what you are feeling has been felt by many others. Those feelings and experiences are not isolated to you. You will also find as I have that when you read the stories of many here you will say to yourself "That is me". I could not believe that after reading the stories of my sisters here that I would constantly say, they are writing my exact story.

Thank you all for you warm welcome and very kind words. I am overwhelmed at the moment with your replies(wheres the tissues) .
I have logged on to say I have been contacted by the local gender support organisation and negotiating an appointment date to have a talk and get possible help and guidence on how to cope and move forward.

Great! Moving forward is reassuring-at least I find it so. I have an appointment this Wed to see my GP and intend to tell him everything. Keep us posted on what you find there.
