top surgery: t - 1 week!!

ok so im having top surgery a week from today at vanderbilt!!! super stoked...but really stressing the pain....and recovery time, my intent is to get back to work asap...i am very large chested so im also worrying about "doggie ears" and just being a stout big guy...

other than that, i am super stoked!!! just thought id share the ethusiasm

Thats awesome. Depending on the kind of work you do you may be able to get back to work quickly (as in 2 weeks).

im having a billateral done...there is a dr there that helps out trans guys so im actually getting it done by my insurance....he thinks i wont need a revision...but if i did i wont let myself do it until i lose a bunch of weight....two weeks...wow fun times!!

I would say at the least, maybe longer. It was two weeks before I started to feel normal again maybe a little longer, I also had DI.  Not sure if size matters on recovery time but I was a 36 B on one side C on the other, so pretty medium sized.That is great your insurance is covering it, I had to pay out of pocket for the whole thing. With travel and all it was not cheap. That would be great if you don't need a revision.

I had my top surgery and I could have easiely gone back after a week and I am a big guy.

lol there will be plenty of pictures....my buddies cant wait to see me totally helpless for a few days lol...yea im a big guy....i think they are DD, well at least thats what i put on my paperwork...i will put them on my myspace for sure and on here...thanks for the support

hey guys...im officially post op...i just feel really exhausted....i havent seen it yet...i still have drains in...hand grenades are still steadily filling up...im swollen..but im just taking it as easy as i can...life is good and i feel very blessed...dr. shack is an amazing surgeon and human being!!
