Lyrics of being happy with what you have, someone else may have it worse

MMMM - Crash Test Dummies

Once there was this kid who

Got into an accident and couldn't come to school

But when he finally came back

His hair had turned from black into bright white

He said that it was from when

The cars had smashed so hard

Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm

Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm

Once there was this girl who

Wouldn't go and change with the girls in the change room

But when they finally made her

They saw birthmarks all over her body

She couldn't quite explain it

They'd always just been there

Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm

Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm

But both girl and boy were glad

'Cause one kid had it worse than that

'Cause then there was this boy whose

Parents made him come directly home right after school

And when they went to their church

They shook and lurched all over the church floor

He couldn't quite explain it

They'd always just gone there

Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm

Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm

Silly parents, you don't have to sit through some boring sermon for that, just go 12hrs without a glass of wine while doing things that are fun. Just make some one can drive you home.

You got a very good point there :) I agree, the sermons ARE boring.  I rarely got a message out of my previous pastor because he was always condoning (?) homosexuals and 'cross dressers'.

Love the Dummies.

But I've never understood why someone else having it worse is supposed to make anyone feel better.

You should feel thankful for what you have, because you *could have been* born deformed, or have no parents and abandoned, etc, just lots of things could have happened to you, but thankfully it didn't.  You're still living and breathing.  So be glad.  That's all I was trying to say.
