Name Change finalized

It is official, my name is Paula Denise, this morning at 9:15 am i went before the magistrate, it was uneventful  we were called in the magistrates office, i handed her the papers i was given by the clerk, she asked if this was an adult name change, to which i said it was and she said approved, no questions, i guess it was obvious why, the judge signed it.

Then on to the social security office, bank, insurance agent, sprint and a bunch of other places to get my name changed. Unfortunately i could not get my DL changed as i am waiting on a document from the state so i can get the gender marker changed to F when i do the name change for the new Dl, it may be a few weeks till i receive it.

All in all it was a fantastic day.

Good for you, Paula Denise.  Isn't a wonderful feeling, to be legal called by the name you should have had from birth?

I remember when I changed mine, I was running around like a mad woman changing things.

Congratulations, Paula!   What a wonderful feeling. 

I remember the day I ran around with the papers my feet never touched the ground.  I had thought it would be no big deal, but to have the state, in its infinite wisdom, say that I am indeed Katherine was absolutely wonderful!

I have my hearing tomorrow, so I'm right behind you! There's so many things that need to be updated though, it'll take a while before I get them all, and I'm sure I'll miss some, but what a feeling to finally be able to have the correct name on all the documents and stuff.
