Witch of Sadness

Hi Folks,

I am Linda and come from Berlin in Germany. A town with many sights, among this also I (lol) :D! We have a gay mayor and a great scene for dykes, gays and also Transgender.
I am 54 years old and had my change 1994. I have a German American, Jewish Mormon background, and I am a witch (this is my faith) how you can see at my nickname. How many people in this country I am unemployed and I am a lesbian like few people (10%). I don't live in any relationship but, for years, I have loved a Butch which also loves me on her way. But we don't find to each other because we have our  limits about which we cannot go.
Perhaps will I write about this one day?
Here in Germany there  has been a law which regulates since the year 1980 as somebody who is transsexual shall be treated in Germany. All medicine and all operations are paid by the health insurances companies if the transsexualism have confirmed by two experts. We can get married (also as dykes or gays), even adopt children. No employer can fire us because of TS although they try it.
The only problem in this country are the Nazi pigs which beat and kill us. And of course the "Christians" who is fundamentalistic.  As this idiot from Kansas, Phelps! >:D >:( >:D

Linda;

  Hello; and welcome! I hope you make some new friends here and find not all of us Christians are like Phelps. Some of us are on the receiving end of his tirade as well.
  I am new here too.
  Once again, welcome.

Willkommen, Linda!

I'm very happy you found us and decided to join.  My parents came from Germany to the US a year and a half before I was born.  I still have many relatives there, mainly in Bavaria and Swabia (Bayern und Schwaben).  I've been curious as to how TS people are viewed and treated in modern German culture.

I'll be looking forward to reading more from you.

again, WELCOME ! !  :)

Wilkommen und danke, WoS.

Ich war mit eine Deutshe gehieratet.

Nice to read of all the good things in Germany.  Unfortunately, we have our fundamentalists and neo-Nazis in the USA, too.

Welcome Linda!  And thank you for the TS info about your country.  The US isn't quite that advanced.

Hope you enjoy your time spent here.  You'll meet a lot of great people.

Julie
When you judge others, you do not define them, you define yourself.

Hi Linda!

Thanks for the introduction.  It sounds like Germany is a pretty nice place to live as a TS.  As Robyn said, we have our Neo-Nazis and fundamentalists too, but in the South, we also have our Rednecks...not sure who is worse, the Nazis or the Rednecks, when it comes to lifestyles out of the mainstream.

As Tiffany said, not all Christians are bad...some of them actually follow what Jesus taught, and not the dogma spewed by the hate-mongers and power-builders.

Welcome to Susan's.  Feel free to read and comment all you like.

Ya put your right foot in.  You put your right foot out.  You put your right foot in and you shake it all about.  You do the Andro-gyney and you turn yourself around.  That's what it's all about.

@Tiffany2 ,

don't worry. I know how already between George W. Bush, Fred Phelps, Pat Robertson (who shall have been itself gay in his youth), and all the other "normal" Christians to distinguish. I became a Pagan,  because I didn't feel well in a church dominated by men which looks down on women, homosexuals and Transsexuals. I moreover experienced, that in conservative churches (apart from the Mormons) I was excluded because I was transsexual and lesbian.
I don't find good advertising for a male God!

@Ginger,

many thanks for your very warm welcome! I appreciate it. I got aware of the side of Susan by a friend who writes here. She by herself wasn't transsexual but one of her relatives which killed himself. To this you can see what intolerance, bigotry and ignorance can cause everything!

@HelenW,

this is funny! my mom comes from Germany (East Prussia) and my father from the USA (Idaho, the potato state), where I lived also many years. I have many relatives in Idaho, California and Utah (the headquarters of the  Mormon), but everyone want to know nothing about me. It is more easier to have a pedophile (my father) in the family than a former transsexual.
Unfortunately, I won't be able to write here so often how I would like. This is because I don't have any DSL connection for my PC but only a simple connection, which is very expensive. I cannot afford DSL as unemployed! I don't have any Flatrate either because this isn't offered in Germany for me (only for DSL).

@Robyn ,

poor lady! Be married with a German! But fortunately you have survived it!
Robyn, this had been only a joke! German women aren't actually not so badly, specially lesbian women at all . To polish your German up a little:

Ich wünsche dir einen wunderschönen Tag und schöne Träume in der Nacht. Möge die Liebe dich ständig begleiten!

Do you understand this?

If not, here your translation:

I wish you a wounderful day and sweet dreams by night. May the love always be with you!

PS: Here another little joke about George W, Bush:

George W.Bush rode on a horse about the prairie when a fairy appeared to him. She offered three wishes to him as fairies do this.
" For my first wish" he sais, "I wish a huge herd of cattle . My second wish is a new and much bigger ranch. And my third wish is ..." He looked grinning between his legs down. "That I'm around the bottom and between my legs am fitted as well  like the horse on which I ride."
The fairy raised her magic wand and said George W. Bush he should ride home. He saw a gigantic ranch house and a huge herd of cattle, as he arrived at home. Full of joy he ran into his bedroom and put his jeans off. A shrill cry suddenly sounded the house. "->-bleeped-<-, I have forgotten anyway that I sat on a mare today ".

How do you find the joke?
