I see Dr.McGinn on December 3rd. I am really small too (like 110 pounds) but I don't want that to be a reason that I have to be on a low dose. But I don't have any health problems.
I know a few guys with no underlying health problems who started at a low dose. A couple took a few months to get up to a full dose, and a couple took several weeks only, like four to six weeks. It varies.
I know one guy who initially said he wanted to start with a low dose, and he did. Then, when he'd been on T for a few months, he started complaining that he'd NEVER wanted to be on a low dose but the endo was intentionally holding him back.

I don't know what his dosage is now, but his case seems to have been exceptional. I think that if he'd asked for the full dose, he would have been up there in a matter of weeks.
You don't have too long to wait before you see the doc. I went in with a written list of questions--you might want to do that, too, if you have any other issues besides dosage. It's a smart strategy. Sometimes people get so excited that they forget about everything but the first injection!
Good luck.
