From what I've been told from someone I knew in the industry -- elastic bands.

pheonix

Lots of options:

Some combinations of estrogen/ progesterone/ anti-andorgens can allow functionality to remain (although sperm production will most likely cease).

Viagra (which does still work)

Bands to restrict blood flow (as stated above)

Use it or lose it.  - Continued use can prolong functionality.

You can also try something like a splint, just get some hard plastic that's matches your skin color and then some clear tape.  ;D

Oh oh oh I want to play!

Maybe an inflatable implant, you could but the squeezy bulb *you know where* and just pump it up on demand.

Weird... I've had HRT and and Orchi and can still get an erection... unless I'm not understanding the discussion going on here.  ???

the functionality varies, depending on the drugs, doses and of course the person!  It is a myth that you will "lose it for sure".  That *may* happen.  What is very likely is the loss of morning erections and spontaneous erections.  If you keep sexually active or practice a little self love, you'll likely be able to keep the ability to have an erection.  The "use it or lose it" saying is pretty accurate.

That's true. I've been on HRT and anti - androgens for well over 10 years and still get unwanted erections occasionally.

The ability to continue functioning is more an issue of hydraulics and not a function, directly, of HRT.  The response to HRT does vary from person to person.

However what will always be affected is libido.  Testosterone increases libido and anti-androgens suppress testosterone and estradiol does not activate the libido to as high an amount.  So interest in sex is reduced.  The intensity during coitus will be reduced and the orgasmic release will be different.

Continued manipulation of the genitals will usually allow some type of erectile response, though the ability to orgasm and ejaculate will be significantly reduced.

At least that is what I experienced and I think others have reported roughly the same response.

HRT has made mine small and useless; just like I like it. I have not had any response in months and I hope it never happens again.

I was already extremely small down there, hrt has even made it even smaller. I have not had an erection in over 10 yrs.

HRT has diminished my sex drive and I have not had an erection in  more than while. Don't miss it. It's not like I used it for anything anyways  ;)

I am focusing more on the emotional aspect of things. I don't have a BF these days but I am finding that looks aren't that terribly important anymore. I'm not saying I want a troll but brains and confidence are more important these days!

Can't wait for VJ day! Still have some work to do but slowly getting there :)

Wow! I've been on HRT for over 10 years and sometimes I still wake up with unwanted erections! sometimes I need a pee and it won't go down? it's a pretty horrible situation!
