Eh. When I was identifying as female I got sucked (no pun intended) into the hype. But ALL through each movie I couldn't stand the acting. Kristen Stewart's especially. What's with that darned annoying head bob she always does?? She could at least try to act cute. I constantly wished they had casted Leighton Meester from Gossip Girl as Bella, and apparently that girl who played Babydoll from Suckerpunch was originally supposed to play Bella. I think she would have done a MUCH better job than Kristen Stewart. My two cents :P

wow talk about your necromantic thread raisers lol

But back to topic.

I cannot stand the series.

1. The fact that a 150 some year old guy falling in love with a 16 year old is pretty damn creepy.

2. The boy has some serious issues with stalking Bella.

3. His disposition is so depressing you feel numb after watching the movie. I've seen vampire movies before where the vampire is depressed over his immortality but having to explain his depression on this subject in every damn scene for 3 movies is a bit much.

4. They're not vampires. They are simply people who are addicted to blood who can live forever. They seem to be very messed up mages than vampires. Hell, they don't even have fangs.

5. Bella needs to see a therapist

6. We know he loves Bella. They don't have to remind me 40 times in each movie. I get the picture.

The first movie was "ok." It really wasn't anything to write home about. Out of five stars I would give it 3.0 to 3.5. The second movie was pretty much sex appeal. let's see which guy looks the sexiest. I gave that movie 2.5 stars.

The third movie was so boring to me that I took the blue ray out of the player about half way through it. I VERY RARELY stop a movie halfway through. I would say in about 30 years of watching movies, I have done this about 5 times.

I feel bad for the people who got twilight tattoos.

i agree

Idk I've never read it or watched it, but I do enjoy making fun of it.

I haven't read the book or seen it, and I don't know anyone who has, but lol the internet sure seems to hate it.

I don't like much fiction, so haven't read the books.  I watched the first film and thought it had potential, but was amateurly acted, had mediocre CG effects and was probably not well-adapted from the book.

also i don't like how it's messing with all the cis teenage girls and their hormones, making them actually think some vampire boyfriend is gonna show up and sweep them off their feet. i've been hearing this a lot lately:

"Oh em gee!! (points to boyfriend) You can be Edward!!"
"Oh em gee!! (points to guy friend) You can like... totally be Jacob!!"

Anyone else see this happen a lot? :P

No, and I'm glad I don't.
Bella's character is just psychotic and manipulative...and has Kirsten Stewart's horse face.
Meow.

JasonRx do you mean manipulative in like how she wants Edward to kiss her and stuff like that?

Kreuzfidel ha. i don't leave the house much either actually, but since my best friend is a girl she's said that a couple times. plus ive seen other girls saying it too. it's actually fun to laugh at them :P

I don't hate it or anything, but I have seen them all so far, and the only one I even remotely enjoyed was New Moon and I think it was maybe 4-5 scenes in the movie I DID like.

PS. Jacob IS kinda fun to look at :-p

I don't hate Twilight, I just don't like it.  The message in the movies, and the books, is something I just can't stand by:  that you require a guy in order to be happy.  Bella was so wrapped up in Edward that she tried to kill herself when he left.  That just seems like a very poor message to be sending out to teens who are already confused.  There are other parts of the story that I also don't like.

The one guy in the story who wasn't emotionally abusive to Bella was the one that Bella didn't go for.  I understand that many girls go for the emotionally abusive fellow, but I don't think it should be publicized or encouraged.  After this movie came out, I saw a lot of girls clamoring to be in a relationship with a guy like Edward.  If only they knew how horrible it is then they wouldn't be saying it.

Plus the special effects in the movie had been giggling a bit.  The acting was also horrible on all of the parts of the cast.  Just overall a giggle worthy movie with a horrible plot.

I agree completely, the underlying message is terrible, Kristen is too flat (acting wise) for the part of Bella. She comes across fidgety instead of shy

"Harry Potter is about confronting fears, finding inner strength and doing what is right in the face of adversity. Twilight is about how important it is to have a boyfriend."

- Stephen King, who knows something about storytelling

That quote actually wasn't said by him. :) It was said by one Robin Browne (link).  I agree with the quote, though.

Hahaha.  That mentality is specifically why I looked up the quote to see who actually said it.  I lok up just about any quote, though.
