The article was written by Deacon Keith Fournier, who is less of a reporter than an op-ed writer. His conservative bias is well known.
The "radical cultural agenda" of
Catholic Action Network is to promote peace and social justice.
Show Me No Hate was organized to for the specific purpose of allowing same-sex marriage in Missouri (where it is banned by the state constitution.)
The ongoing series of rallies are to protest the archbishop's decision to give $10,000 to fight gay marriage in Maine. Both organizations would have preferred that the money have been spent locally, on human welfare problems... of which there is no shortage in the St. Louis area.
Despite the headline of Fournier's article, I saw nothing, in any of the news coverage, to indicate that these rallies are specifically "homosexual and 'transgender' activists."
