Dean Awford, dubbed "Dean The Queen", is suing his boss, David Gray, 56, for unfair dismissal and sexual orientation discrimination while working at an upmarket furniture store.
Mr Gray would frequently refer to Mr Awford as "she" or "her," and would say, "Don't be such a puff," the employment tribunal heard.

A former drag queen has described how his boss abused him about his sexuality and even told a customer he had "knickers to match" his leather shoes.

Mr Awford told an employment tribunal that Mr Gray continually used derogatory terms relating to his sexuality during his employment as a £16,000-a-year sales manager.
He said: "I am a homosexual male and have made no secret of that. During my employment I was subjected to continual harassment due to my sexual preference.
