I seem to be a jumble of emotions lately. I suppose that's not surprising, given that my "confirmation" is now less than a month away. But most of the jumble doesn't seem to have to do with the surgery. I'm really looking forward to my stay in Montreal.
I have had a bit of gender-related anxiety. Saturday morning, I woke up about an hour too early and couldn't get back to sleep due to intrusive thoughts. Early morning seems to be when the doubts and insecurities hit. Not doubts about what I'm about to have done. It's the usual stuff about not being good enough. A little time in the shower cured me of that. No, it's not the body I'd have if I had my druthers, but I can live with it, as long as the southern configuration gets changed.
