The tree is a monster we had to cut the top off to get it in the door..Decorating it was like trying to do a makeover to a truck driver.we turned it about a thousand times for the "good' side'.well Barbs magic kicked in ,and i pretended i was at the beauty parlor .and did up the the tree, everybody remarked"that is a beautiful tree".The woman who does my hair would  be better off just being call a magician.I  really like her ,I told her thing's that i never said on this board. And ironically i think she likes me too.well, ok the moral of the story i guess would be true to your feminine side,Its really wonderful and it is a beautiful thing.I mean when i am barbara i am better at certain things that normally would confuse me

You go girl...
I've had similar experiences, sitting back and watching the wife and stepdaughter fight over a rather ugly tree they thought looked "really cute" at the nursery, only to see it looks like someone dragged it out of the swamps when we got it home. After they express complete disdain over the project I go into Evie mode and wa lah... the Charlie Brown tree gets compliments all through the holidays ::)

girl mode is so fun, Evie

Maybe that's why I enjoy cooking or that I'm learning to crochet.
