Danville police are still searching for the man who dressed as a woman to road the Check Exchange on Hustonville Road at gunpoint.

"(He) told her to give him the money. He essentially then jumped over the counter, leapt over the counter, and in the time he was leaping over the counter to get the money out of the register, she fled the store and went next door," Sgt. Todd Davis told ABC 36 News.

Such agility suggests sensible shoes were donned, but Davis said the clerk didn't get a good look at his shoes or dark pants of the slim, 6-foot-tall robber.

"He had a dark auburn wig, had very nicely applied facial make-up, had maroon, deep maroonish, red-style lipstick, was wearing a dark women's coat and was carrying a purse," he said.
