Passed... and at the oddest place, too!

Well, i finally "passed" ALMOST beyond a doubt. Part of me is jumping for joy, the other part laughing hysterically.

I had a gyno visit today (ick) and was ready and waiting (ick) when the doctor came in - first time i saw her, we never met before. She abruptly stopped, gave me a  surprised look (almost like a "why is a guy (or why are you) here" look), glanced at my file, looked at me again, then stepped in with a strange look on her face.

When i told her i was transsexual a few minutes later she was like "Oh, well, that's cool - also explains why i had to think about it when i came in and saw you sitting there!" And we laughed over it. I honestly don't think she was 100% sure what i was until i told her.... Having a slight cold with a raspy voice helped i guess.



What a place (and time) to (sort of) pass.

My top surgeon required a mammogram, so I showed up at this little radiology unit five or six weeks after I had started T. I kept telling myself that on this one day I shouldn't bind, but I couldn't make myself leave the house that way. So I bound.

I walked up to the intake station, told the receptionist that I had an appointment for such and such time, and was about to give my name. Before I could say who I was, she greeted me cheerily with "You must be Roger!"

I thought it was extra funny that the name doubles as a term for intercourse.

Maybe its just me, but the thought of me being on t and being the only guy in the gynos waiting room amuses me XD

Just wait 'til you're a year (or more) on T and headed to the gyno's office... tomorrow should be interesting

I had been on T for 5 months when I went in for an ekg prior to top surgery.  Same deal.  Got called sir up until she really looked at my chart which still had my F name on it for insurance purposes as I'd had my mammogram at the same faciility a bit earlier.  She then apologized but I said none needed.

Yeah, that WILL be interesting....     I think more so to see the reactions of people in the waiting room and the receptionist, since the doctor herself will know. I just love confusing people....

So far everyone i've told has been very "cool" about it. It's boosting up my confidence to tell my parents.
