I just had a pair of fairly understanding psychiatrists meet with me at home. This was my first meeting with mental health people over my gender dysphoria, and it went fairly well. I think I articulated myself enough to carry my meaning.

It was actually less stressful than I thought, seeing as though I was pacing up and down, heart thumping, for half an hour beforehand.

They say they'll do some research on guidelines for treatment and get back to me in a month or so as to whether they're allowed to prescribe androgen blockers.

My mother was in there with me for most of it, so I got a chance to tell her (indirectly) some of the background we would otherwise not have talked about. They also suggested that the biggest next step for me is getting motivated, which I'm going to act on first by looking for mixed-gender sixth forms to spend my last two years of school in, since I'm not really happy in the boys' school I'm going to at the moment.

And I taught them a new word. They had never heard of pansexuality.

So it is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you can win a hundred battles without a single loss.
If you only know yourself, but not your opponent, you may win or may lose.
If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, you will always endanger yourself.
