 there  are so many choices and options available now a days the question i have is. if you had someone completely new or just getting started with some counciling what advice would you have for them???

I'm confused - what choices and options?

as far as council is concerned - be honest, realise that counsellors are not created equal and you need to find one you can create a good working relationship with.
