Appreciate all the writers that write in the androgyne section

I just wanted to publically thank all the writers that write in the androgyne section wheither for the first time, or the fiftieth; from the simple greetings and short comments, to the elaborate phylosophycal abstact posts.

Social I think the posts are great on many levels. They give you a chance to talk about things. Writing helps you express how you feel. So in one way its sort of therapeutic. A public group social experience. And one may find friends (as well as an occasional enemy. Hey life is dull without an occasional enemy).

Knowledge One an learn as well as teach in these posts. Reading and sharing experiences helps build a body of knowledge for the Now as well as for the Future. It may inspire other or help in direction. It may even help the original writer to find direction.

Debate These virtual pages help spark opinions, ideas, questions, answers, theoretics, applications, suggestions, problems, solutions, as well as highlights great debates. A little devil's advocate is always welcome occasionally as long as you abide by the forum rules stated in the most current rules to live by in https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,2.0.html.

Entertainment While a lot of the posts may be serious , you may occasionally find humor, great stories and posts, and a sorta entertainment in the posts.

Sense of Status Like many organizations, one can climb-the-social-ladder so to speak and attain popularity, high respect, sage-hood, authorship, become a sorta politician, become a moderator, increase your participation rating/rank, attain some fun reputation, and many other similar status like things.

Thanks to Kendra for creating this space for us to communicate, and to everyone here for sharing. Until I found this forum, I'd assumed that I was the only person who felt like I do. I'm learning a lot from everyone and I feel that it helps me to further figure out who and where I am on the gender continuum by reading what others say and by writing down my own feelings as well.

Although I didnt create it, nor was I the original posters  emmit_boi (emmitt_boi's posts are a year before mine), unicorn, jan c, madison (madison beats me by a half year I think) underground panther. I did post a lot of posts when I did find the (Genderqueer as it was formerly called) child section buried in a subsection I had never seen. The section was really hard to find. I was here when this section was first made, but had no idea what it was about. At the time I was posting mostly in Fashion, if you look at my old posts.

Emerald and Susan, from what I know, get the actual credit for changing the name to "Androgyne" and making it a premium space section. https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,5730.0.html

Just giving them the respect and thanks that the proceeding androgyne members and forum administrators deserve. Since madison has come back I have thanked hir in posts and PM.

I did increase the numbers of posts greatly (hehe I will accept credit for that). I think there were like 8 to 12 posts when I first made my first one. And probably influenced the number of members coming here today. And am part to blame for the change of the sections name. And helped bring life into a longly missing part of Susan's that I believe was avoided because of positioning, choice of section name, and had minimal writers that could actually find the section.

I've been off the Susan's Forms for awhile as I have been trying to figure out who I was. Fighting myself mostly.   
Yesterday when I came back I found this section and have been greatly encouraged. I have found others who are more like me than I could have every imagined. 
Thank you Ken/Kendra as for your part in this forum, personally I want to thank you for your friendship.  And my thanks goes out to Madison and many others.

I also want to thank you for your contributions to this area, and the role you played in bringing it to the forefront.  You are an inspiration to me, and I know your posts have been enjoyed by many of us.

The list of writers who contribute regularly to this section is too long to mention, and I hate to try as I am sure I would leave someone out whom I admire.  Everyone who posts here, frequently or only once, adds to the richness of the section, (and the whole forum), from the lengthy discussions to the drive-by comments.

Thanks also go to Susan for everthing she does, and for this fantastic site.

Wow, Even since writing this appreciation the section has really exploded and populated, once again, after the first explosion July to Sept and a plateau period Dec to late Jan.

I still feel entirely and truely grateful for all of the writers, whether long-time writer or first-time.

As I was doing the revisions in the FAQ post at https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,9148.0.html, it really shows the depth as well as breadth of topics covered.

In the beginning we had very little content. Now I struggle a little to even organize all of it lol. Much of it is out of the androgyne section, which is a good thing, but tricky for me to find. I am not complaining, because I think its a good thing, but if you see your post, which is posted somewhere else, but is androgyne oriented, PM or respond to my FAQ page to get it added.

Everyone in the section helps out, if you look through the FAQ you will find your posts or replies to posts. Thanks for both, the topic makers, and the topic repliers (or those that do both). Feel free to expand on posts, or add new ones.

I like the new Battlestar Galactica, which I read today that this next season, the 4rth, is going to be the last (which I agree this should not be a long drawn out series, rather be strong and have a beginning, middle, and end).

I have only posted here a few times, the last time was in november 2006, before I went to Malaysia for two months. But I am very glad that this forum exists!
I remember the first time when I came here, it was actually the first time that I really felt that there where other people like me. Now, I came back because something is confusing me, and realize again just how special this place is. Again I feel that this is the only place I have ever met people who share some of the feelings I have my whole life. And I feel instantly welcome. A  very warm feeling!
I am not sure if I will come here a lot, I am not such a forum poster, but the value for me is huge. Not only for the answers to my post, but to read everything that is written here.

So although I am a newbie, a big thanks to you all who make this place what it is....

I was on a different TG website, it was nice and I liked the people. It was their fledgling androgyne section that led me to the concept. But I needed to read more advice and it was Ken/Kendra's FAQ section that is helping me firm my ideas. Can't say I agree with all of the presentation aspects of the FAQs, but there is so much to chew over that it is a great resource. So, cheers.

Ya I started the presentation section after seeing tons of posts talking about androgynous appearance, yet the forums had very little data on any kind of androgyny, as did no other site that I knew of. So I did that poll first, then started from the most popular and worked down to the lesser popular.

Certainly androgyny appearance isnt for everyone like you mention. But at least now its covered a bit more.

The next poll https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,14002.0.html I hope will lead my own writings to more psycho-social information. Maybe even a little behavioral.

And after that maybe I can chop up the behavioral and social relation section into some more sub categories to be more specific and easier to find information.

For me, Pica, it is important to look androgynous because when I look like a girl, I feel like a lying scum and it makes my brain cry.  I get cranky.  It's sad.

But I can understand that it is not important to everyone.  So do not see this as a criticism, merely me representing my side.

As Tay shows, having an androgynous appearance is very important to some people.  I'm not brave enough to say that it doesn't matter.  <where's a good chicken smiley when you need one?>  For what it's worth, I tend to present my androgyny by mixing clothing genders...guy shirt with gal pants...gal blouse with guy jeans...men's suit and tie with red fingernail polish and makeup.

OK...back on topic...reading the posts here at Susan's is just awesome.  People share their problems, their joys, the opinions and, sometimes, their not-so-nice sides.  There is a little something for everyone and rarely is it boring.  I appreciate everyone who posts, as they are a part of our family.  I also would like to thank K for all the work that sie has done...this androgyne section would not be remotely as successful without hir.
