What is a good price on 5% emla? I tried it in the past and it failed me miserably, however I discovered the other day that I wasn't using it right. I've found a nice mixture of percocet and valium that seems to work, but it out and out fries me for the day. So anyway I thought I might ask my doc about an emla script but I can't remember what it goes for. Is this one of those things that might be significantly less expensive from Canada or inhouse, or should I just get it at my regular pharmacy?

Another thing I was thinking, it's a family clinic so I bet they have some form of topical cream onhand. I wonder if I could just talk em out of a tube  ;)

This is something I've been wondering about as well and whether it's even available in my part of the world. I've read that the two most common products are the EMLA and the ELA-Max 5. I'm considering the latter as it doesn't require to be covered with plastic etc. But if it fails me then I will try the EMLA.
Soz I couldn't help with the pricing lol :P
I'm stressing so much about electro that I've been putting it off >_<
At least until I have an arsenal of pain killers at hand ^_^

Oh yeah, go for the percocet definitely. It made it so much better, plus you get that warm and fuzzy happy feeling as an added bonus. I'm serious, it totally changed the experience. It still hurts, but nothing like
before. Anyway I'm just trying to stretch my percocet because I don't know for sure if my doc will give me more, and maybe even drop the valium because that stuff is kind of intimidating me.

I'm guessing you can't drive on percocet? It sounds interesting!!
*adds to my list of drugs to annoy my GP about* lol.

Oh god no. I just came off a marathon electro set, six hours a day in three hour increments, for three days. I just got a cheap room up the street from the place and pretty much stayed stoned, did my homework and played on my iPod. I have to drive a couple hours back home though so it was cheaper that way and yeah that stuff is hardcore narcotics, nomnom!

How did you convince your doctor to give you pain meds for electro?  I'd be afraid to ask and be labeled a drug seeking addict.

I paid $60 for 5 5gm tubes, the secret to using it is simply waiting 30 min to an hour before starting electro. EMLA is nice enough to not break down into carrier oil and med so plastic wrap imho is only really needed for genital area use or to protect hair from getting messed up.
Soft kitty, warm kitty, little ball of fur. Happy kitty, sleepy kitty, purr, purr, purr.

Yeah I worried about that too. What I did is described to her the gory details of what goes on during electro. When she hesitated I told her to grab a syringe and start sticking herself in the face and see how long she could endure it.

Don't ask for very many at first, just three or four pills, and go from there. I've found that showing her where the work was done and asking politely for a refill to do more seems to work alright and eases any concerns about illicit uses.  The thought has crossed my mind though, lol, around here percocet goes for $8 a pill on the street and a girl could get herself a new forehead pretty quick at that rate.
