I just went to my psychiatrist today and he agreed to write a recommendation letter for SRS. I can't stop thinking about SRS now! haha. So happy.

I'm totally set on Brassard as my surgeon. OMG it will be so nice not to deal with tucking, squashed testicles, and wearing two panties at once. Imagining that budge disappearing is a possible thing now!

Hey Tatiana, congrats! It makes it feel all that more real that it'll finally happen once you get the first letter. I just got the second letter last week and will be getting the letter from the endo hopefully this week, so I know how you feel!

I think you chose a good surgeon! I have mine scheduled with him in about a month and a half and I can't stop thinking about what it'll be like not having that thing down there. Do you have a date set yet?

Thanks Sarah! We're both going to be Brassard girls! hehe. Congrats on getting your two letters and getting a date.

I'm probably going to try to set a date next week for early June if possible... if not, it'll have to wait until May 2011 (OMG SO LONG!). See how it goes. Hoping for the best!

The thought of not having that thing in my pants anymore just seems like a lifetime away. I can always keep dreaming and hoping.  Good luck

Hi,

Congratulations, I have had my second opinion and my second letter too and I was thinking of Brassard. Anyone know how his surgery costs compare with say Marcie Bowers who is another one of my possibilities. I was hoping for either June/July date.

Thank you vrony and congrats to you too, stardust. It's definitely a long journey!

I remember first meeting my psychiatrist 5 years ago! Wow time flies! Step by step...

So it is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you can win a hundred battles without a single loss.
If you only know yourself, but not your opponent, you may win or may lose.
If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, you will always endanger yourself.

sorry just getting back, i've just been on a run and couldnt stop thinking about making contact with people like myself its amazing how much thinking you can do when running, it helps clear the mind. This has just made me more determined to do what i've been dreaming about for years, i am going the doctors tommorow to ask to be refered to Gender Clinic to see what i need to do to get things started and it is weired to think that in a couple of years i might be in your position writing about when my date is going to be. I cant waite to hear how you both get on  :) I wouldnt be ale to sleep till then thinking about it, it would be like waiting for christmas when you are a kid. Good Times

Congratulations, Tatiana.  I got my two letters within days of each other, and all of a sudden this seemed very real.  I already had a date set, but with the letters in hand surgery somehow came out of the mists of possibility to the hard light of reality.

You're on your way, girl.  Our dreams can come true. :eusa_dance:
