Understand your point Sandy.
But if you think about it, this is really the same tactic that has been used against so many different groups, over the recent centuries, working class, Jews, Blacks, Lepers, disabled, mentally ill, homosexuals.
But ultimately, I suggest, dignity and self respect will get us what we want.
Making ourselves into a sob story, Transgender rights, radicalism and so on, will simply end with us being a public spectacle.
These people have no case. Their opposition centres upon specious claims relating to toilets.
The argument against this tact is that, even if there were no transgendered people, those who seek to harm or humiliate others in public toilets, will still exist.
But ultimately, I suggest, we can only win through by demonstrating that we can continue to contribute positively to society.
I make this point because I suggest that those with the power really don't give two hoots about us, nor anyone else. They don't give tow hoots about public toilets either.
Those in power are really only concerned with staying in power. We could mobilise, in the way racial minorities have done. But that can only work if we are a big enough block. We are not.
So our tact, I suggest, must be the moral high ground. That we are decent, honest, working people ready and prepared to contribute to our society.
I will also point out that society seems to need people to hate.
At the moment, it seems to be lining up heavy people to take the blame for all societies ills. I have been collecting information on this subject. If the opportunity arises, possibly, a connection between transgender and obesity, I will produce some of it in this sub-forum.
